Snagit is TechSmith's capture tool for documentation and tutorials. Beyond plain screenshots it handles scrolling web pages in a single capture, grabs text out of images through OCR, and records short screen videos with webcam overlay and cursor effects.

The editor is where the product earns its keep: arrows, callouts, step numbering, blur and highlighting tools sit on a non-destructive canvas with a saved-style system, and captures route to the library for reuse. Templates cover common documentation layouts. It installs offline and is pre-activated.

How to install

1. Unpack the archive with 7-Zip or WinRAR
2. Run the installer as Administrator
3. Launch Snagit and capture a test region
4. Open the editor and try the annotation tools
5. Leave the sign-in prompt unanswered — the licence is local
