Scrivener 3 treats a manuscript as a project rather than a single file. The binder holds chapters, scenes, character sheets and research material in one editable tree, and any document can be written in isolation while the surrounding structure stays visible. Corkboard and outliner views present the same outline as index cards or columns, so restructuring a long draft becomes a matter of dragging cards instead of cutting and pasting text.

Beyond drafting, the application keeps snapshots of every document revision, a project-wide search with saved collections, and a compile step that assembles selected sections into manuscript, screenplay or ebook layouts using configurable presets. Reference material such as PDFs, images and web archives lives inside the project beside the text it supports. The package installs offline as a pre-activated build for 64-bit Windows.

How to install

1. Unpack the archive with 7-Zip or WinRAR
2. Run the installer as Administrator
3. Pick a destination folder and choose whether to associate project files
4. Launch Scrivener and confirm the licence state in Help > About
5. Create a project from a template or open an existing one
