PaintTool SAI 2 keeps a deliberately small feature surface: a handful of brush tools with detailed response curves, stabiliser settings that tame jitter without introducing lag, and a canvas that stays responsive on modest hardware because the application itself is under 50 MB.

Line art is the focus, and strokes remain editable after the fact through a linework editor that adjusts width around a drawn path. Layers support the standard blend and clipping modes needed for colouring beneath line work. Version 2 adds the updated brush engine, wider selection tools and a rotatable canvas. The package installs offline as a pre-activated build.

How to install
