Beyond Compare compares files and folders by content rather than timestamps, using configurable rules to ignore whitespace, comments, line endings or specific XML/JSON nodes. Differences appear side by side or merged into a three-way view that handles concurrent edits to the same file cleanly.

Folder sessions support mirroring, two-way sync and snapshot comparison, with filters based on file type, size or modification window. Additional session types cover archive contents, FTP and SFTP trees, hex data, images and version-control workspaces, so the same interface drives every comparison in a project.

How to install
